High hopes dashed

I got this book for my parents to record for my son. It was a dismal failure.
1. Even in a bright sunlit room the book the book frequently doesn't recognize the page that it is on.
2. The quality of the recording is very poor. There is a buzzing in the background and the voices don't record clearly (we tried several times adjusting how close we stood to the recorder, and the angle)
3. Each time you record a page it gives you a recorded message telling you what to do, this can really break up the tempo of reading the book, particularly if you are trying to sing the story (which who wouldn't want to for Rudolph?)
I loved the idea of this book, and I am horribly disappointed, particularly considering that it was rather pricey.

RUDOLPH STORY WAS A HIT!

Last Christmas I gave my grandchildren the recordable "The Night Before Christmas" and they loved it. I wanted to carry on this tradition and found "Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer" in a recordable book. They love this story and I knew they would enjoy "Dee" reading it to them. I was right! The beloved story is precious and having a recognizable voice reading it and having a special, customized message in it made it priceless! They loved the song at the end as all the reindeer light up, one by one. Santa even "opens his mouth" when it is his turn! I feel that I have given my grand-babies a Christmas heirloom that will be kept for years to come.

Bad Technology

this product gave me such a hard time. i sat for about 2 weeks trying and trying to get it to work right. see the problem with this product was that i could only record on the last page so i ended up having to write the whole story out to record it on this one page. once i began to record it would cut me off in mis sentence and would not aloud me to finish. which means i ended up with about 30seconds worth of story. i couldnt deal with anymore i didnt want to hold on to it if it didnt work even though my son really wanted it. i returned it for a full refund.
